History
It is one of the major and the founding departments of the college, which came into being in July, 1970. The Department offers History as an elective subject for undergraduate course. The department has always been very popular among the students. The number of students enrolled in the department is highest since its inception. The results of the department are excellent through out. Due to the good results and its wider popularity among students, the department started Post Graduate Course in July 2003. Seventeen batches of M.A have passed out till now.
